We are currently seeking a UK/US Tax Associate on behalf of a year-round US tax firm in London. About Our Client Founded over 20 years ago, with only a handful of clients, this laid-back business has developed to become a firm with over 1000 clients served by 25 members of staff. Much of their success is attributed to doing things slightly differently, whilst maintaining a friendly and personalised tax service. The Role The successful individual will shadow an experienced manager within the business and will be exposed to the full process from meeting the client to signing out their tax return, and everything in between. What differentiates this associate opportunity to others, is the encouragement for this individual to learn on the job whilst doing real tax return work; something which has been successful for the firm for 20+ years. This stands out from other associate/trainee programs which tend to be highly theory-based and spread over several years. The management team and directors are very approachable and generous with their time ensuring that trainees get the support they need to progress quickly and reach their potential. There are weekly training sessions on important topics for US tax preparers, offering a relaxed environment to learn - away from their desks. This relaxed approach has meant individuals often stay with the firm for a long time. The position includes funding for EA & ATT exams as well as generous studying arrangements. Requirements ● +/- 1 -2 years US & UK tax preparation experience (flexible) ● Have a fundamental grasp on US & UK tax matters and individual US tax returns. ● Enthusiasm & a strong drive to develop professionally are important traits the management team look for. ● An affinity for numbers will help set you apart from the competition. ● A degree is not essential but will be an advantage if you're able to demonstrate transferable skills. If you're looking for a senior associate program that goes above and beyond to help its employees learn and develop, this is for you.
